About Us

PSWoods Vineyards began as the vision of Randy Woods, my great uncle. Luckily, my grandfather was shrewd enough to swindle old Randy out of not only the idea, but also the deed to the property. Today we continue the family tradition as it has been for years, if not a decade or two.

PSWoods wines are known for robustness, character, and a refinement usually only found in venerable and ancient tradition of the vintners of Central California. Man, those guys have been doing this for like, almost a hundred years or something now. Our wines are also known for the funny names. Come to think of it, that's probably what people remember most.

Our premium wines have won many awards over the years, including numerous gold medals and disnstinctions at international events. I think part of this is because my brother Dale is pretty slick, especially with the womenfolk, who seem to be running most of these things. We also have a Jack Russell Terrier we take with us, and everyone thinks he's the funniest thing. The wine ain't really all that great. We used to charge people to get into the tasting room, because we were pretty sure they wouldn't buy anything once they tasted it. But you'd be surprised - the kind a' shit people say when they come in there: "It has a complex palette with a nice oak finish..." Hell - the only thing we use oak for 'round here is buildin' dog house. I think maybe these people just watch a couple episodes of "Frasier" and decide they want to pick up some lingo or something...
